Gathering “It” in the New Year
God always provides it—and when we gather it first, we do a lot less fruitless searching and worrying—What is "it?”
This week, as we approach the New Year, we will look at God’s priorities for us, and how putting first things first on a daily basis opens our eyes to notice and live into the peace and happiness God want us to have!

Christmas Part III: Gifts and Givers
Let’s work on this together, discovering the true gifts and learning how to be true givers. During Advent, we are invited to look beyond what is exchanged and see what is received from God: love, peace, truth, and new life. As we open ourselves to these heavenly gifts, we are also formed into people who give from the heart. This week, we reflect on how receiving from the Lord leads us to give with joy, generosity, and charity.

Christmas I: Light One Candle
This Christmas season let’s welcome God’s light entering the places where we feel darkness, uncertainty, or weariness. Just as a single candle can brighten an entire room – one act of compassion, one step of faith, one moment of hope opens our lives to that light this Christmas.

Breaking Free from Your Inner Pharaoh

Breaking Free from Your Inner Pharaoh
There are things in your mind that want to keep you trapped. Come learn God’s plan to break you out of there! When I speak about “breaking free from Pharaoh,” I’m talking about the inner rulers that corner us with worry, shame, distraction, or that relentless inner critic that never seems satisfied. Scripture shows this pattern again and again, and Swedenborg opens it with such tenderness, reminding us that God bends every moment toward freedom and joy. Somewhere inside each one of us is a Moses moment where something holy catches fire and asks us to turn aside. I feel it when I see people realize that their spiritual captivity is real yet temporary, because God is already moving the waters that once looked impossible to cross. The journey takes time. It winds, it wrestles, it surprises, but it always carries the promise that the Lord leads us toward a land flowing with real happiness, the kind that grows from love, usefulness, and trust in His steady providence.

Grateful For All the Ways We Are Connected
In this season of reflection, let’s pause with gratitude and notice the beautiful network of connections that holds us together. Whether through shared moments, quiet acts of kindness, or the unseen spiritual bonds that unite every human heart, we are part of something larger, living, and deeply good. May this be a time to appreciate not only the people close to us, but also the divine love flowing through all our relationships, reminding us that no one is ever truly alone.

No more “If.” No more “When.”

No more “If.” No more “When.”
Part of gratitude is opening ourselves up to the miracles that surround us. We can get there if we can drop our equations for happiness – equations that start with “If” or “When.”

A New Way to Define "Greatness", a New Way to Rediscover Joy
In a world that often defines greatness through power, status, and self-promotion, Jesus offers a radically different vision. One where true greatness is found in humility, service, and a heart aligned with God’s purpose. Let’s look at greatness through the eyes of service, where humility reshapes our relationships and joy runs deep. When we live to serve, God’s love moves through us, and we find the kind of joy that lasts.

The Shape of Joy: A Humble Heart
The shape of joy bends outward. And to bend, it depends on our desire to embrace a life-giving humility. Freed from distortions, we are open to God and open to others.

The Shape of Joy: Mattering
One of the deeply spiritual perspectives we are asked to take on is this... everyone matters. That is different from the self-esteem game. It is a far deeper 'mattering', one where we come to see others and ourselves in inspiring ways.
