Where Do We Draw the Line?
Love Beyond the Lines
We know it’s important to speak and act from principle and to set clear boundaries; but how do we balance that with compassion, empathy, humility, and forgiveness? Scripture is full of rigid rules and regulations, often coming with harsh consequences—Yet Jesus teaches and models unconditional love, awesome compassion, deep understanding and forgiveness! How can we hold both of these truths simultaneously and not draw fuzzy lines? What does it look like to love beyond the lines—after the line has been crossed?
“This they said, tempting him, that they might have reason to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.” (John 8:6)

When Do We Draw the Line?
It’s not easy to know when to draw the line. When should we speak up, and when is silence wiser? When do we take a stand, and when do we simply listen? When do we stay fully engaged in a relationship, and when is it time to step back?
There are no simple answers. But God does give us tools to help us navigate a way forward.

The Headlines Don’t Get the Last Word
Research shows that negative headlines aren’t accidental. The system is built this way because negativity captures attention.
But what captures attention doesn’t have to capture our heart. There is a place deeper than just the headlines where God resides.

Easter
Join us as we celebrate Easter in a family style service. Easter reminds us again and again that every moment touches eternity, and we can choose to live in ways that embody the words that Jesus taught and the life that he lived. What is on the other side of that? Resurrection.

Is Life Getting Better?
In the midst of everyday life, it can be difficult to feel like things are truly getting “better.” But perhaps we can shift our perspective. Perhaps we can begin to see life the way God does—not necessarily better in every moment, but always moving toward something better when viewed through the lens of eternity.

How they are still with us!
The Continuing Presence of Our Loved Ones After Death
Death hurts. When someone we love dies, nothing can simply “fix” that loss. The absence feels real. The silence can feel overwhelming.
We often speak of seeing our loved ones again in heaven someday. The church teaches us to trust in life after death. But is that all we are given to hold onto as we walk through the sharp reality of grief?
There is good news. There is more.
There is comfort for grieving hearts. There is hope that reaches into the present moment—not only into some distant reunion.
Join us this Sunday as we explore the ways our loved ones continue to be present with us, even after death.
When Jesus told His disciples that He was going to leave them, that He would be crucified, He also said something astonishing:
“It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you… You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.” (John 16:7, 20)
What if departure is not the end of presence?
What if love is stronger—and nearer—than we have imagined?
Come and discover the hope that speaks to our grief and the comfort that meets us where we are.
